Music
Apart from the preaching of the word, music is the highest form of praise for God. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther impressed upon the church that music ought to be an integral part of its life. Christ Mertz has taken hold of this suggestion and has a history of musical excellence. From organ and piano to choral music, handbells, along with modern-day instrumentation, Christ Mertz has sought to embrace as many musical options to proclaim the majesty of God.
If you would be interested in singing in the vocal choir, ringing handbells with the handbell choir, playing with the “Band,” simply contact the church office and we will put you in touch with the appropriate person.
Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church
The community of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church prioritizes always reaching out to our surrounding community. With its faith in Jesus Christ, a helping hand to those in need, and being part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we are able to help beyond our borders. We continue to look forward and pray that God blesses our efforts and uses us to proclaim the Good News. Just as those settlers, our ancestors strived to do so many years ago.
