Lenten Wednesdays: Practicing the Way of Jesus

Midweek worship services for everyone—starting February 25
Looking for something meaningful this Lent? The Brandywine Area Churches are hosting Wednesday evening worship services at 7:00 PM, beginning February 25 and continuing through Holy Week. Each week we’ll meet at a different local church, giving you a chance to experience worship in various settings and traditions.
This year we’re exploring what it means to actually live like Jesus—not just believe the right things, but practice the rhythms that shaped his life. Drawing from John Mark Comer’s book Practicing the Way, we’ll dive into practices like solitude, prayer, Sabbath, simplicity, and community. The idea? Transformation isn’t about white-knuckling your way to holiness—it’s about putting yourself in places where change happens naturally.
Whether you’re a longtime churchgoer or simply curious about the Christian faith, you’re welcome. Over six weeks, we’ll walk together toward Easter, encouraging each other along the way.
Where We’ll Be:
- Feb 25 – Christ Mertz Lutheran, Dryville
- Mar 4 – Hope Lutheran, Bowers
- Mar 11 – Christ Delong UCC, Bowers
- Mar 18 – Trinity Lutheran, Topton
- Mar 25 – Grace Lutheran, Topton (Lutheran Home campus)
- Apr 1 – St. Paul’s Lutheran, Mertztown
Come for one service or come for all six. We’d love to have you join us for worship, reflection, and fellowship.
