Welcome to worship at Christ Mertz in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. However you got here this morning, out of habit, out of hope, or somewhere in between, we’re glad you showed up. Pull up a seat (or a screen) and make yourself at home.
What’s in this service
Every reading this week has a table in it. Isaiah promises a feast of rich food for all peoples, Psalm 23 sets a table in front of us, and Jesus tells a story about a king whose wedding banquet fills up with whoever the slaves can find in the street. We also hear a man in that story get thrown out for not wearing a wedding robe, which is a hard ending and one we’ll take seriously.
Scripture readings:
Isaiah 25:1-9
Psalm 23
Philippians 4:1-9
Matthew 22:1-14
The service includes confession and forgiveness, the Prayer of the Day, the Children’s Sermon, and the Prayers of Intercession.
Music:
Gathering Music: “Day By Day” (Edward Broughton)
Gathering Song: “Christ, Whose Glory Fills the Skies” (ELW 553)
Hymn of the Day: “As We Gather at Your Table” (ELW 522)

Offertory Response: “Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow” (ELW 884)
