Good morning, and welcome to Christ Mertz Lutheran Church. We are delighted to have you join us on this 5th Sunday after Pentecost.
When we receive the greeting of peace and extend it to others at worship, we are calling on the power of the Spirit of Christ to still the storms that threaten the assembly. The greeting of peace is a word of power; far more than a “Good morning,” passing the peace is a shared word of faith in God’s might.
